With the 63rd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Oklahoma center Creed Humphrey.
This was the third straight year the Chiefs had the 63rd selection in the draft.
Scouting Report
Arrowhead Report s Jordan Foote took a look at Humphrey during his 100 players in 100 days series. Here s what Foote had to say about Humphrey.
Oklahoma s Creed Humphrey is a player who does pretty much everything well. At the point of attack from the center position, his wrestling background is evident in his play. He maintains good leverage and explodes from his low base with strength and punch that is oftentimes too much for his assignment to handle. He s fundamentally sound, displaying good footwork, hand placement and balance on tape.

With the 162nd pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs selected Duke tight end Noah Gray.
Kansas City gave up picks No. 175 and 207 to trade up with the Jets. In return, the Chiefs got pick No. 162 and No. 226.
Scouting Report
Wearing a variety of hats for the Duke football team, tight end Noah Gray is the type of flexible athlete who can cause a variety of mismatches. Some of his best reps come from the H back position where he is given a free release to attack second level defenders, causing a ton of mismatches. For our final mock, we took our chances with another aggressive mode draft to best-simulate a draft that could have some uncertainty.
Apr 15, 2021 Mel Kiper Jr., ESPN s premier draft analyst, made two selections on behalf of the Kansas City Chiefs in his latest 2021 NFL mock draft, and both selections make a ton of sense for the Chiefs.
The hesitance in the headline stems from the fact that generally speaking I m left unimpressed by most non-Kansas City-based mock drafters when they choose for the Chiefs. It s tough to fully understand a team s needs and tendencies if you re not specifically covering that organization closely, but I think Kiper did something very on-brand for Chiefs general manager Brett Veach in his latest mock.
While the Chiefs obviously need a left tackle, I ve become increasingly lukewarm on the crop of players who are likely to be available at the 31st overall pick. In Kiper s mock, the draft s top tackles Penei Sewell, Rashawn Slater, Christian Darrisaw, Alijah Vera-Tucker (more likely a future guard) and Tevin Jenkins went fifth, 13th, 14th, 17th and 20th, respectively.
