(Courtesy) Print In its second complete local review cycle, a project to build a house a block from Kellogg Park got the La Jolla Community Planning Association’s approval during its March 4 meeting online. Plans are to demolish a single-family dwelling and build a 4,430-square-foot, two-story single-family home at 8405 Paseo del Ocaso. The development was voted down by the La Jolla Shores Permit Review Committee in September and by LJCPA in October. However, it returned to the PRC in January and was approved, then went back to LJCPA this month.

(Courtesy) Feb. 20, 2021 2:18 PM PT Print A parking directional sign pilot project spearheaded by the La Jolla Coastal Access and Parking Board won unanimous approval of the local Traffic & Transportation Board during its Feb. 17 meeting. The project aims to guide motorists to parking spots at garages in The Village and help ease traffic congestion in the area. The directional, or wayfinding, program would make use of money for short-term parking solutions as part of the La Jolla Coastal Access Parking Fund, which was established about 50 years ago through California Coastal Commission-required contributions by office space developers. About $121,000 is available for short-term parking solutions.
