The officer, who was hosting an illegal party at his W. Cleveland Ave. home amidst the Safer at Home order, placed Acevedo into a chokehold from which Acevedo later died. He said Acevedo, a guest at the April 19th party, tried to steal from him.

A large group gathered Monday night to march and celebrate the 200th consecutive day of action in Milwaukee aimed at protesting police killings in the Milwaukee area and around the country.
The group calling themselves The People’s Revolution met at the intersection of N. 24th Street and W. Michigan Street, outside the Rave Eagles Club.
It was a frigid night for a protest. The temperature was below 30 degrees. Still, somewhere between 50 and 100 people were on hand. They bundled up, sharing hand warmers and passing out hot chocolate. Finger Lakes Health will work with University of Rochester Medical Center to strengthen clinical care and hospital operations
Families in the Finger Lakes region can expect to see more high quality services at Soldiers & Sailors Memorial Hospital and Geneva General Hospital, leaders of Finger Lakes Health (FLH) said today in announcing an agreement with the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) to provide clinical operations support for both hospitals.
A management services agreement between the two institutions was just approved by the New York State Department of Health. It builds on a longstanding collaborative relationship through which many URMC physicians already provide care to FLH patients in Penn Yan and Geneva.
