Man involved in North Glasgow police chase put children and elderly at risk of injury

The court heard police attention was drawn to a Ford Fiesta driven by Somerville in Kelvindale. Lights and sirens were activated as Somerville fled the scene and was initially lost from sight. He was later spotted by other officers in Bilsland Drive during an area search. Boy, 16, in court over alleged Glasgow school break-ins

A TEENAGER is accused of breaking into two primary schools with intent to steal. The 16-year-old boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, allegedly entered Haghill Park school in Glasgow s East End as well as St Bartholomews in the city s Castlemilk. The accusations span between April 25 and 26 last year. Prosecutors claim the boy, who was on bail, acted with another who remains unknown. The teenager pleaded not guilty from the dock at Glasgow Sheriff Court to the two charges. A further hearing was fixed for April this year by Sheriff Joseph Platt who continued the boy’s bail meantime.

Glasgow Sheriff Court: Alexander Cuthbertson admits sexual communication with kids

A PERV was snared with nearly six hours of indecent videos of children in his ill mother’s home. Alexander Cuthbertson, 49, was caught with 1,899 images overall at the flat in Lambhill. He even created fake social media accounts to communicate with kids between March 2007 and January 2020. Cuthbertson, posing as a girl, repeatedly asked for naked pictures of victims as young as 13. He pleaded guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to taking or permit to be taken indecent images of kids. He also admitted distributing images and sending written sexual communication to children. The court heard police raided the property on Skirsa Street where Cuthbertson lives with his mum who suffers from dementia. Officers seized two iPhones and a desktop computer from Cuthbertson’s bedroom.
