In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic local schools are still marking Pink Shirt Day “Of course with Covid safety protocols in place we cannot have our regular whole school assembly in the gym,” said Chris Landry speaking for Whitecourt Central School. “We will be having a virtual whole school assembly where we will discuss the importance of being kind, and where and why Pink Shirt Day originated. Each class is also creating Pink Shirt Day art.”
Rose Rumball, athletic director/PE for École St. Joseph School in Whitecourt outlined what the Living Waters Catholic Separate School Division was doing locally for and around the day of Pink Shirt Day on Feb. 24.
