WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI Changing the distribution process of the COVID-19 vaccine to ensure it’s more equitable is the main focus of a virtual town hall meeting Thursday.
“COVID-19 and the African American Community: Equitable Vaccine Distribution” is being hosted by Michigan Medicine from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 25, and is being livestreamed on the Program for Multicultural Health at Michigan Medicine’s Facebook page.

WASHTENAW COUNTY, MI Efforts to work through the current COVID-19 vaccine priority groups continue in Washtenaw County.
The 753 appointments at the Washtenaw County Health Department’s vaccine clinic that were postponed on Tuesday, Feb. 16, due to weather have been rescheduled, officials said.
Vaccine clinics at Eastern Michigan University’s Convocation Center are now being staffed by St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital employees as part of a partnership with the health department.

YPSILANTI, Mich. – The Washtenaw County Health Department and St. Joseph Mercy Ann Arbor hospital have partnered to staff a new COVID-19 vaccination clinic at Eastern Michigan University.
The purpose of the clinic is to vaccinate large numbers of people in one central location. While the establishment of the new site does not mean more appointments are currently available, it allows the county to position itself to provide more vaccinations once supply is increased by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services.
