DOMINICA SOCIAL SECURITY CELEBRATES 45TH ANNIVERSARY DOMINICA SOCIAL SECURITY CELEBRATES 45TH ANNIVERSARY The Dominica Social Security is celebrating its 45 th anniversary under the theme “Celebrating Forty Five Years of Social Partnership and Protection.” Celebration activities started with a church service at the Bethesda Methodist Church. The service was attended by Senior Minister and Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Honourable Reginald Austrie who represented Prime Minister, Honourable Roosevelt Skerrit; Speaker of The House of Assembly, Honourable Joseph Isaac; Members of Cabinet, Leader of the Opposition and Permanent Secretaries from various ministries. Director of the Dominica Social Security, Mrs. Janice Jean-Jacques Thomas, described the milestone as significant for the Dominica Social Security, noting that over the 45 years, the DSS has been beneficial to many Dominicans specifically the elderly.
