There is a growing dissatisfaction among grassroots supporters in both major American political parties. The left believes pro-war Democrats like President Joe Biden have long been Republicans in Democratic clothing, voting closer to former Sen. John McCain and Sen. Mitt Romney than former Attorney General and Sen. Robert F. Kennedy Sr. Many Republicans are baffled by the continuing adherence of party members to QAnon. There have been calls from longtime party members of both the Democrat and Republican parties to form third parties that align more cohesively with the political goals and beliefs of voters. There has even been one call for a true Unity Party.

FRASER TWP, MI Driving down a busy road in rural Bay County, you may be struck by a provocative flag waving in the wind from one house’s flagpole.
“F Biden” the black, red, and white flag proclaims, with “And f you for voting for him!” emblazoned beneath it. Above it flies the more familiar yellow Gadsden, or “Don’t tread on me,” flag.

The past few presidential elections have seen a depressing retrogression on the part of states, as to whether they will tally the write-in votes for declared write-in presidential candidates. The latest to backslide is Maine, where the Secretary of State now refuses to compile the tally, even though he did so in 2016.
Other states that formerlly tallied them, but have stopped, are Massachusetts, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oregon, and Virginia.
In 2016 Maine tallied write-ins for Evan McMullin, Darrell Castle, and Laurence Kotlikoff.
As long ago as 1915, federal courts ruled that the U.S. Constitution protects the right of voters to have their valid votes counted. It is especially important that states with severe ballot access tally write-ins, and Maine is severe. No presidential petition in Maine succeeded in 2020 except for Jo Jorgensen’s petition, and Rocky De La Fuente’s petition. Thanks to Tony Roza for this sad news.
Barely in office two weeks, and President Joe Biden has already signed far more executive orders than Trump, Obama, or W. Bush in the comparable period at the beginning of their, respective, terms in the White House
In the first ten days of his new administration, following his inauguration on January 20, 2021, President Joe Biden signed more than 25 executive orders changing the direction and content of federal government activities. That is four times as many executive orders as were signed in the same number of first days in the White House as Donald Trump, and five times as many as Barack Obama gave his signature to in his comparable period in office. There seems to be a new precedent of far greater government by decree.
