Braintree Police help reunite family with stolen puppy

A FAMILY’S Christmas wish came true when their stolen puppy arrived back at their doorstep. French bulldog Zara had been snatched from a back garden back in July and the Jurkuviene family had all but given up hope of finding their beloved pooch. But police in Braintree found eight-month-old Zara abandoned in Coggeshall Road last week and were able to bring her back home in time for Christmas. Officers from the rural engagement and Braintree community policing teams worked with the RSPCA and Braintree Council to track down the Jurkuviene family. Acting Sgt Steve Mugridge said his team thought Zara “looked out of the ordinary” when they found her.
