Health: The Northern Cancer Foundation has launched its new Do-It-Yourself (DIY) online fundraising platform. Every year, the NCF said it is the charitable recipient of many lemonade stands, school dress-down days, birthdays and athletic challenges, but COVID-19 has changed the way donors can raise funds. In response, the NCF DIY website gives interested fundraisers digital tools to create their own fundraiser. Register your DIY fundraiser at bit.ly/NCF-DIY. Art: SNOLAB launched Drift, an art and dark matter residency in partnership with the Agnes Etherington Art Centre and the McDonald Institute. This trans-disciplinary residency explores the search for dark matter from an artistic perspective. The program began in 2019 when four artists Nadia Lichtig, Josefa Ntjam, Anne Riley and Jol Thoms visited SNOLAB’s underground facility to experience the search for dark matter and connect with the scientists and technicians who make that work possible. Drift is now open at the Agnes Etherington Art Centre and will remain there until May 31 when it will begin a tour that takes it to other gall

With the ongoing pandemic, it’s a great way to enjoy a nice meal in the comfort of your own home without having to do any of the work. The meal provided by the Rotary Club of Sudbury can be picked up at the Hilton Garden Inn on 475 Barrydowne Rd. (scheduled times to be provided). There is also the possibility for delivery, although charges will be included. To order your Rotary Lobster Dinner in a Box, contact John Dow at john.dow@hotmail.com. Orders must be placed by Friday, May 14.
