CybSafe raises $7.9M Series A led by IQ Capital for its ‘behavioral’ cybersecurity platform
Cybersecurity startup CybSafe, a “behavioral security” platform, has raised $7.9 million in a Series A funding round led by IQ Capital with participation from Hanover Digital Investments (HDI) GmbH and B8 Ventures. The investment round will be used to focus on expanding its enterprise and midmarket client base. CybSafe is a SaaS product with a per-user-based, subscription licensing model.

The Annual International Rose Festival is a free community festival devised and run by the La Trobe City Council aimed at showcasing and recognising the hard work of volunteers who devote over 6000 hours annually to maintaining its Morwell Centenary Rose Garden. The festival quickly evolved from a one-day event in 2018 to a two-day festival in 2019 including talks, workshops, live music, children’s activities, food and wine masterclasses, stalls and an evening light installat
Former officers receive suspended sentences
Two former Columbus Police Department officers have been given suspended sentences by a special judge after pleading guilty to ghost employment.
Dan Meister, 47, 952 Jackson St., Hope and Ron May, 59, 8015 S. County Road 875W, Columbus were originally charged with official misconduct, ghost employment and theft all Level 6 felonies.
Both worked a second job providing security at Columbus Regional Hospital while clocked in as city officers. Meister is accused of overlapped hours worked on 52 separate occasions, while May is accused of overlapped hours on 62 separate occasions between Jan. 1, 2013 and Aug. 31, 2018, according to a State Board of Accounts audit.
