Sydney coach John Longmire has lauded his clubâs come from behind win over GWS, following the pre-game COVID chaos.
Both teams lost players due to COVID protocols, with the Swans withdrawing Callum Mills, Harry Cunningham and Colin OâRiordan. The Giants meanwhile had to remove Toby Greene and Matt De Boer as they attended the rugby union, a Tier 2 COVID site in Victoria.
The Swans came back from a 35-point deficit to run down the Giants, with Longmire visibly emotional in the rooms.
The Sydney coach explained just how chaotic the pre-game situation was.

Sydney coach John Longmire has hailed the selflessness of Buddy Franklin as the superstar Swan was yet again happy to hit up teammates in better scoring positions in the side s nine-point victory over St Kilda at the SCG on Saturday afternoon.
As the Swans rode their luck in the last quarter due to the Saintsâ wayward kicking from set shots, Franklinâs call to centre a ball for James Rowbottom created the Swans sealer and was indicative of many unselfish acts from the 34 year old since his return from injury this season.
