Sobriety Court to start at Macomb Circuit Court in July

  A specialty court for those convicted of three or more drunken driving offenses will be starting next year, adding on to several such venues at Macomb County Circuit Court. Sobriety Court is slated to start next July, presided by Judge Julie Gatti, thanks to $12,000 in start-up dollars from the state, said Court Services Director Lisa Ellis. - Advertisement - Gatti volunteered for the post when court officials announced formation of the court. “Throughout my campaign (for when she was elected in November 2018), I thought about things I wanted to do when I got on the bench, and a treatment court was one of them. I raised my hand,” Gatti said.
