Martin Luther King Jr. Day is Monday and localities in the Historic Triangle will close offices, libraries and other government run buildings to observe the national holiday. WYDaily complied a list of closures for Williamsburg, York County and James City County so you can plan ahead. The following facilities are closed on Monday, Jan. 18 unless otherwise noted. Williamsburg Waller Mill Park will follow normal operating hours, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Quarterpath Recreation Center has been closed since March due to COVID-19. A convenient 24-hour bill payment drop box is located at the front of the Municipal Building, 401 Lafayette St., for City transactions. Payments can also be made online. Drop box payments made on Jan. 18 will not be posted until Tuesday, Jan. 19.

Williamsburg All City of Williamsburg offices will be closed Thursday, Dec. 24 and Friday, Dec. 25, as well as Thursday, Dec. 31 and Friday, Jan. 1, including offices in the Municipal Building on Lafayette Street. Quarterpath Recreation Center remains closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Waller Mill Park is closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day. The holidays do not affect trash, recycling, or leaf collections in the City. It is a Blue Route Week for leaf collection.
