painter came to the West Coast to die. At 51, William Lees Judson could look back on a life full of adventure: trans-Atlantic crossings, farming Ontario’s plains, fighting under Ulysses S. Grant in the Civil War, Beaux-Arts immersion at Paris’s Académie Julian. When his wife died suddenly and his own health soured, doctors advised him to take the “California cure” and spend his last days in the Golden State’s hot, dry air.

GROWING up in the foothills of Benaughlin Mountain, surrounded by creative family members, Mark Healy s interest and enthusiasm for art and design developed from a young age. His journey as an artist has taken him from his home county of Fermanagh to studying in England, and for a time in Seoul, South Korea. Now settled in Enniskillen, he is engaged in many aspects of the world of art, from creating his own pieces to curating the works of others. Although working in various media and styles in his own practice, Mark is currently focusing on his illustrative work, where he likes to tell the small but very significant stories of the overlooked groups of society .
Education: BFA in communications design, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York.
Career path: For as long as I can remember, I have loved to draw, but it wasn’t until I came across the work of illustrators like James Jean and Jimmy Liao that I realized illustration was a way I could make a living. I applied to a handful of art schools and ended up going to Pratt Institute. Art school isn’t for everyone, but for me, it enabled me to really explore and find out who I was as an illustrator as well as a person.
After graduating, I started out in editorial illustration, which I think is the easiest industry to break into as a young illustrator. Since then, I’ve branched out into working in the publishing and advertising industries as well. Each job that I work on is different from the last, and that makes every day in the studio interesting and challenging at the same time.

To bring the animation to life, Intertrend installed LED screens encompassing the theater’s tall arch windows where visitors can watch “00X” wish locals a Happy Lunar New Year. While we could explain to you what the animation looks like, we thought it better to show you.
“00X” was given dimension by 3D artist Oscar A. Campos and is modeled after secret agent 007, or James Bond, fitted with a smart tuxedo and all the dashing, suave energy the iconic spy-series hero is known for. Oh, and all the hair. We’re betting 00X’s do is modeled as a cross between the blond locks of Daniel Craigs’s Bond and the side swept style of Timothy Dalton.
