SAN DIEGO (KUSI) – The San Diego Padres are set to acquire right-hander Yu Darvish from the Cubs as part of a seven-player trade, MLB.com’s Mark Feinsand reports. The Cubs will receive veteran right-hander Zach Davies and a package of four prospects in a deal that was agreed to Monday night. The Padres will also get catcher Victor Caratini in the trade. The Darvish trade comes not long after the Padres, coming off a playoff season in 2020, swung a deal with the Rays for left-hander Blake Snell and reportedly came to terms with Korean infielder Ha-Seong Kim. Randy Jones, former Padre All-Star pitcher and Cy Young Award winner, joined Good Morning San Diego to discuss offseason trades made by San Diego Padres.

Per source, Ervin Santana deal would pay him $1.5 million in base salary with $1.75 million performance bonuses if he is in the majors for the #Royals.
