The Scottish Conservatives have lost the key battleground seat of Ayr to the SNP in the 2021 Holyrood election.
Residents are heading to the polls to elect the next Scottish Government - though the coronavirus pandemic means it could be more than 48 hours before all the results are counted. Polling stations opened at 7am across the UK for several national and local elections, in what political geeks have decided to dub Super Thursday . Estimated declaration times have always come with a warning that they should be taken only as a rough guide. However they have been especially difficult to produce this year as authorities are unsure how long it will take to count votes while keeping to social distancing requirements amid the pandemic.
MONTREAL Researchers at the MUHC think they’ve found a way to use Opal, a bilingual mobile application developed by scientists at the institution, to ensure that non-hospitalized COVID-19 patients still get the care they need. Most of the patients with COVID-19 will have no symptoms or will have mild symptoms, but they are alone at home and it’s a new disease and it s very stressful, said Dr. Bertrand Lebouche, the principal investigator for a new and just completed study. He calls them hidden patients because the pressures of the pandemic on the health-care system and the issue of contagion mean they are tucked away at home and are neglected as a result.
