Stranger Things fans got their first look at the spooky Upside Down in new set photos revealed on Monday.
A mobile home park set in Griffin, Georgia, got a shocking makeover when it was enveloped by thick tendrils from the spooky alternate dimension featured in the popular Netflix science-fiction series.
Although reports from season four have suggested some of the action might shift to Russia, where David Harbour s character Hopper was being held, the new photos confirm that the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, isn t finished with the Upside Down.

Stranger Things is now filming. And today, star Finn Wolfhard teases the new season will be the “darkest” yet.
Wolfhard tells CBC Listen: “
Every season it gets darker. I will say [with] season three I was like, ‘This is the darkest season that there’ll ever be’ – exploding rats and everything. But really, season four so far… it’s the darkest season that’s ever been. Every year it gets amped-up; every year it gets funnier, darker, and sadder – and everything. So I’m really excited for people to see it.

It feels like it has been forever since Stranger Things has been on our screens, and after a tough few months while dealing with a worldwide pandemic, even the Upside Down is starting to look inviting right now!

The pandemic paused filming on the show back in March 2020, but it resumed six months later in September 2020. Since it isn t clear when filming will be wrapped up, we may still have a while to wait for the show to land in our Netflix accounts - so watch this space for updates.

Stranger Things star Finn Wolfhard has revealed that the show’s upcoming fourth season will be the “darkest” yet.
Speaking to
CBC Listen on Friday (February 12), the actor – who plays Mike Wheeler – provided an update on what fans can expect from the hit Netflix series’ return. You can listen to the clip below.
