Ross Barkley played his first full game in over three months as Aston Villa took maximum points home from his former club Everton. The midfielder put in a lively performance, striking the base of the post with one low left-footed strike from range.
Villa scored in each half to secure a 2-1 victory, which keeps them still in the chasing for a European qualification place, having closed the gap to the Toffees in eighth to four points.

Tiemoue Bakayoko scored a great goal in a crucial few days in the race for Champions League qualification in Italy. The midfielder had already played his part in a chaotic 5-2 victory over fellow challengers Lazio, before opening the scoring with a powerful effort from 20 yards as they beat 10-man Torino 2-0, putting them into joint-third in the table, alongside AC Milan and Juventus.
