Michael Tarver, best known for his stint as a member of the original Nexus, stopped by VOC Nation’s Talkin Sass podcast to talk his WWE career. Tarver recounted getting signed following driving to New York for a tryout.
“I had only worked for about four years on the indies before I got my contract,” Tarver said. “Drew Taylor and I got in a car from Youngstown (Ohio) and drove up to Rochester, NY for a tryout at a Smackdown taping. When I get there Brodie Lee was there – so much talent – Mike Tolar was there…a bunch of people were there.

Tarver alleged that Cena “targeted” him, took liberties with him in the ring and possibly sabotaged his reputation backstage in WWE. Hey there everyone, it’s time for MLW Fusion so I’m here once again to relay all the happenings. Tonight Marshall Von Erich will battle “Filthy” Tom Lawlor one on one, Ross Von Erich takes on Dominic Garrini, and Bu Ku Dao will try to redeem himself after a less than stellar outing last week when he takes on Hijo de LA Park. Last week was kind of a down episode, let’s see if Fusion can rebound this week.
The opening reminds us of the feud between Lawlor and the Von Erich clan. We’ll also get something on El Jefe of Azteca Underground tonight, plus a media event for Myron Reed trying to reclaim the middleweight title from Lio Rush in a few weeks. That sends us to the ring for our first match.
Jason Jordan Gets Big WWE Promotion, New Roles For Adam Pearce And John Cone

Jason Jordan reportedly has a new role within WWE with bigger responsibilities.
As we’ve noted, WWE recently made several changes to several departments, including Talent Relations. John Laurinaitis took control of the department earlier this year, moving up from his role as Lead Producer.
In an update, word now via PWInsider is that Jordan has taken over Laurinaitis’ former role as Lead Producer. Jordan now oversees all other WWE producers at TV tapings. The new role includes much bigger responsibilities within the company.
