The hits just keep on coming, and not in a good way.
Snoopyâs at 600 Hillsborough Street near Glenwood Avenue has sold its final hot dog, its owners announced on Facebook on Sunday.
The location has been operating since 1990, the owners wrote, serving lunch, dinner, and late night snacks that âmade Snoopyâs a part of the Glenwood South experience.â The post says the COVID-19 pandemic brought about changes in peoplesâ habits and the operations of businesses. Developers have approached the owners with offers to sell over the years, the say; now, they finally have.

Today, the U.S. House is set to pass the Equality Act, a sweeping bill that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex, sexual orientation, and gender identity in employment, housing, education, jury service, federally funded programs including healthcare, and businesses and any other spaces or entities that serve the public. Durham School Board Votes to Send Students Back to School

Last night, the Durham school board voted to send students back to school in person in March and April but some county leaders aren t happy about it. Â
In an emergency meeting, the board voted 5-2 to implement school administrators plan to bring students back for in-person learning beginning next month, a move, Durham Public Schools said in a press release, that comes in light of Senate Bill 37, the bill that would mandate all schools in the state reopen for in-person learning. We have heard from families who want to remain in remote learning and others who want to return to classrooms, said Dr. Pascal Mubenga, DPS superintendent. We are now able to provide both of those options.
