Fourth year player junior Sam Praytor, was named All SEC first team as a catcher on Monday. Praytor led the team with 13 home runs and 44 RBI on the season while hitting .288 with 11 doubles and threw out 11 runners trying to steal. The Helena native improved to .309 in conference play with eight home runs, 34 hits, and 23 RBI. The last Tide player to be named first team All SEC was centerfielder Taylor Dugas in 2012.
Sophomore second baseman Peyton Wilson was a second team selection behind Robert Moore of SEC Champion Arkansas. Wilson had a .297 average with 65 hits, nine home runs, 11 doubles, 10 stolen bases, 30 RBI, and a .982 fielding percentage. In conference play Wilson hit .315 with 39 hits, four home runs, 17 RBI, eight doubles. and six stolen bases.
Alabama Records Four Players With SEC Honors
The Alabama Crimson Tide finished 29-22 this season with a conference record of 12-17. The Crimson Tide s effort in conference was enough for the program to make the SEC Tournament for the first time since 2016. With the strong season against tough competition, Brad Bohannon s Crimson Tide had four players earn a combined six spots on the SEC s postseason award list.
For the first time since 2009, the Crimson Tide placed a player on the First Team All-SEC team with senior catcher Sam Praytor. Praytor led the Tide in homer runs this season with 13, good enough for eighth in the conference. he leads the Tide in RBIs this season with 44 and in slugging percentage with .550. The catcher saved some of his best efforts for conference play, he recorded 10 of his 13 multi-hit games against SEC competition. From behind the dish he anchored Alabama s defense by throwing out 11 baserunners, good enough for fifth in the conference.

It was a strong and resilient all-round performance for us, despite the pandemic, P.B. Balaji, chief financial officer of Tata Motors, told reporters in a post-earnings conference call.
