ANAHEIM, Calif. Shohei Ohtani was scratched from his scheduled start on the mound for the Los Angeles Angels on Monday night.
Left-hander José Quintana will move up from his scheduled Tuesday start to face the defending AL champion Tampa Bay Rays in the opener of a four-game series at Angel Stadium.

On Friday, former New York Mets second baseman Roberto Alomar was “terminated as a consultant to Major League Baseball and placed on the Ineligible List.” That move came after TSN reported “a woman filed a workplace complaint against the former Blue Jays star player alleging sexual harassment.”
On Monday, the National Baseball Hall of Fame announced Alomar is resigning from its Board of Directors:
“Jane Forbes Clark, Chairman of the Board of the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum, announced that the Board of Directors met today and has accepted Roberto Alomar’s resignation as a member of the Board. Alomar, who submitted a letter of resignation to the Hall of Fame’s Board of Directors on Saturday, had been elected to the Board in July 2019.
