airBaltic Takes Its 26th Airbus A220-300 And First In 2021

Latvian national flag carrier airBaltic said in a statement released today that it had just taken delivery of its latest Airbus A220-300 and that it is the first of seven planned deliveries this year. The aircraft registration number YL-AAZ departed Montréal-Mirabel International Airport (YMX) at 15:29 EDT for the just under eight-hour flight landing at Riga International Airport (RIX) at 06:26 EEST.

The plane is a part of a 50 aircraft order airBaltic placed with Airbus along with a further option for 30 of the same aircraft. airBaltic has its main hub at Riga International Airport (RIX), with secondary hubs at Tallinn Airport (TLL) in Estonia and at Vilnius Airport (VNO) in Lithuania. From these Baltic states, airBaltic operates flights mostly to metropolitan and leisure destinations within Europe.

Ryanair on Tuesday announced that the Greek islands are among the popular summer destinations included on its list of routes for Summer 2022.
The airline’s early release of its Summer 2022 schedule already includes
over 10,000 flights per week across 500 routes to Europe’s “favourite city and sunshine” destinations.
“With over 10,000 flights every week and further destinations to be released in the coming months, customers can now make travel plans for Summer 2022 with greater ease,” Ryanair’s Director of Commercial,
Jason McGuinness, said.

Ryanair has released a Summer 2022 schedule featuring more than 10,000 flights per week across 500 routes to its most popular destinations with promises of more to come.
The leading European airline is offering a mix of beach holidays, city breaks, adventurous landscapes “and all of the cultural experiences customers have been eagerly awaiting”.
Popular summer destinations such as Barcelona, Ibiza, Lanzarote, Lisbon, Malta, the Greek islands and Naples are on the list along with Berlin, Krakow, Venice, Rome and Seville.
The airline spiced the summer schedule announcement with a seat sale with fares available from just €29.99 for travel until the end of October 2022.
