The woman was jogging along the seawall around 9:30 p.m. when she was bitten on the leg by a coyote, said the B.C. Conservation Officer Service in a Facebook post. She had minor injuries.
Conservation officers will be patrolling the park in the next few days to find and kill the coyote responsible for this attack.
The service urges the public to take precautions at the park, adding it is working with park rangers, wildlife biologists, the City of Vancouver and other organizations on a long-term strategy to address and reduce coyote conflicts.
