UTICA, NY – In less than one week, voters across the state will head to the polls to vote on the fate of their district’s school budget and determine who will sit on the school’s board of education.
Two candidates vying for a position on the Utica School Board squared off in a virtual debate Wednesday that was sponsored by the League of Women Voters and moderated by Utica College political science professor, Luke Perry.

Why go back to work when I can collect as much or more than my employer is paying me. Where do these people think the money is coming from?
This country was built on hard work not handouts. It seems that the present government thinks that this is the way to control the masses and score points for the next election.
My grandparents were immigrants from a country that controlled them. They left family friends and a country for hopes of a much better life. They hoped and had faith that with hard work they would have choices. They could build a foundation on those principles and help others do the same.
