Millwall avoided a potential banana skin at Meadow Park as they comfortably overcame Boreham Wood 2-0 to advance to the fourth round of the FA Cup.
Looking for only their second victory since the end of October, Millwall gave stating debuts to both Danny McNamara and Tyler Burey.
The National League side gave a start to Junior Morias, who returned to the Hertfordshire side on loan from St Mirren.
The first opportunity fell to the Championship side after five minutes, when an effort from distance by Troy Parrott went wide.

McNamara, a 22-year-old full-back with two Ireland U21 caps, spent the first half of the season on loan with Scottish Premiership side St Johnstone.
The London-born defender previously had loan spells at Welling United, Dover, Havant & Waterlooville and Newport County, before finally being handed a senior debut by the Lions this afternoon.
Town Start Huge Month Against Millwall

Town begin what manager Paul Lambert says is a “huge” month by hosting fellow strugglers Millwall at Portman Road on New Year’s Day.
The Blues go into 2019 bottom of the Championship, seven points plus goal difference from safety with the Lions in 20th, 10 points ahead of them having won their last two matches, both at the Den.
Asked how big a month January is for Town both on an off the field - with half-a-dozen additions being targeted - Lambert said: “Huge. But I keep going back to it, so was August, so was July, so was June.
MILLWALL followed up their first win in 11 games with another frustrating home draw.
The home side took the lead just after the half-time interval when Jon Dadi Bodvarsson’s cross was turned home by Tom Bradshaw.
But their lead was short-lived as Alex Mighten levelled for the visitors straight from the restart.

Millwall started brightly and were on the front foot in the opening minutes. Jed Wallace was denied in the fifth minute by what looked to be a handball but referee Oliver Langford signalled for a corner which came to nothing.
The visitors responded with a chance of their own, a dangerous ball across the box but Lewis Grabban was just unable to make contact with it. Four minutes later Mbe Sow headed onto the post from a Forest free-kick, but he was offside.
