My exercise routine gets a hard edit when I m PMSing. Whether it s because of painful cramps or the fact that my energy is totally zapped, I have no interest in the high-energy and intense Peloton classes (courtesy of Jess Sims) that I usually love.
But working out is particularly important for my overall mood and mental health and actually ends up soothing my raging cramps so I try to make it a point to incorporate some sort of movement. That s why I ve curated a special set of period and PMS-friendly Peloton classes to turn to every month read on to find out about my favorites.
What happened to Jess Sims? Peloton riders concerned for coach!
Peloton riders were left confused over what happened to Jess Sims when she ended the class 15 minutes early.
The Peloton instructor has gained a notable following since becoming one of the most known leaders in the company. Yesterday, April 19
th, Jess Sims ended her bike boot camp class 15 minutes early, citing listening to her body as the reason.
One rider took to Twitter to share what happened, writing: “Praying for Jess Sims @ Peloton. She said she needed to listen to her body and ended her boot camp 15 mins early. I hope she is okay.”

Let me start by saying I am not a natural runner. As far as cardio goes, I’d rather do a short burst of burpees (and I don’t love doing those, either) than jog around the block. It would take a colossal shift in my daily routines like say, the one brought on by a year-long closure of, well, almost everything to pique my interest in the activity.
I bring this up because it’s nearly impossible to separate my review of the Peloton Tread the new, seriously souped-up treadmill by the makers of the world’s most coveted at-home exercise bike from the current state of the world. Pre-pandemic, I was a regular (OK, semi-regular) at spin studios and functional-training classes. During the pandemic, one Ontario-wide stay-at-home order turned into another and then another and my world shrunk considerably. Before, at-home exercise equipment was, at least for my lifestyle, nice to have. Now, it feels necessary.
