Anti-lockdown protest in Simcoe

Apr 10, 2021 12:26 PM The No More Lockdowns group took to the old Zellers parking lot in Simcoe on Saturday to protest Ontario’s province-wide lockdown. Over 300 people had gathered by 11:30 a.m. The group has been gathering in different towns and cities to show their lack of support for the lockdowns put in place by the government to slow the spread of COVID-19. “We aim to educate the public on the dangers and ineffectiveness of mask wearing,” said a flyer circulating prior to the event. In Ontario on Saturday, 3,813 new cases of the virus were reported along with 19 COVID-related deaths.  The province is reporting record-high ICU patients with the virus.
