Mōrena, I’m Bill Hickman, breaking news reporter taking over from Mandy Te, who provided live updates on Wednesday evening. 8.50am: Train delayed due to medical event The Hutt Valley line experienced delays this morning after a person had a medical event. A Wellington Free Ambulance spokesman said one person was transported to Hutt Hospital in moderate condition. Metlink advised commuters there was an 18-minute delay from Silverstream Station because of the medical emergency. 7.30am: Metlink cancellations, off-peak routes cancelled due to union meeting NZ Bus routes 2, 3, 12, 14, 18e, 20, 21, 22, 30x, 31x, 81, 83, 84 will be cancelled between 9am and 3pm while drivers attend a union meeting.
