A dazzling ‘pink’ supermoon the first of two supermoons in 2021 is set to illuminate our skies at the end of this month.
Although full moons take place about once a month, this one on Monday, April 26, will be particularly special because it will beam about seven per cent larger and about fifteen per cent brighter than usual, enthuses the Old Farmer’s Almanac.

Because the moon’s orbit around Earth is elliptical, and because the Earth doesn’t sit directly in the middle of this elliptical orbit, there are moments in the year when the moon orbits closest to Earth. When that moment coincides with a full moon, it creates a supermoon.

Two people were arrested in Tooele County this week as part of an ongoing investigation that police say started when more than two dozen guns were stolen from the home of a war veteran.
In February, approximately 30 guns were stolen from the Tooele home of a Vietnam veteran, said Tooele Police Lt. Jeremy Hansen. Police have been collecting evidence and information since the theft and have arrested at least one other person.

‘Rainbow Six Siege’ esports team opens season with win over Brown University
With eyes on screens, hands on keyboards and minds tactically melded, one of Norwich University’s esports teams shot, blasted and stormed its way to a season-opening “Rainbow Six Siege” victory over Brown University on Feb. 12.
Norwich’s “A” team for “Rainbow Six Siege” used laptops, personal or university-issued to compete in the match, played from 8 to 11 p.m. The team consists of Noah Hamilton (screen name Knack), a sophomore psychology major; Brennden Le (screen name BL), a junior cybersecurity major; Matthew Wright (LuxPoseidon), a senior cybersecurity major; James Tate (PoTe) a freshman electrical and computer engineering major; and Peter Shadwell (Choloman), a sophomore engineering major. Le and Hamilton are co-captains.
