Three people, including a juvenile shooting suspect, were injured Wednesday when the suspect led officers on a chase and collided with a police vehicle on Fort Wayne s south side.
The Fort Wayne Police Gang and Violent Crimes Unit tried to stop a shooting suspect at Bowser and Creighton avenues about 2 p.m., but he refused to stop and fled from police.
Officers stopped chasing the suspect, a juvenile boy, but another officer found the boy driving recklessly and running a stop sign at Robinwood Drive and McKinnie Avenue.

A police chase ended in a crash near the rear of a home near Lake Avenue and N. Anthony Boulevard on April 25 around 5 a.m. Police said they found one person dead inside the car.
FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA21) One of the men suspected in a weekend homicide case is now in custody, the Fort Wayne Police Department said Monday.
Three Suspects Connected to Fort Wayne Homicide Found and Arrested
FORT WAYNE, Ind. All three suspects who are connected to a Fort Wayne homicide are now in jail.
Police say 20-year-old Cody Clements turned himself in Monday afternoon. On Monday night, the other two men 21-year-old Matthew Cramer and 20-year-old Jacob Carreon-Hamilton were found and arrested.
The trio led police on a chase through Fort Wayne early Sunday morning. Officers backed off due to “unsafe conditions.” Soon after, the car crashed into the back of a home.
55-year-old Shane Nguyen was found dead at the scene, while the three men ran away. The Allen County Coroner’s Office says Nguyen died from blunt force trauma to the head, and ruled his death a homicide.
