Xfinity Breakdown: Going Out On Top; Kyle Busch Wins No. 102 At Atlanta

Xfinity Breakdown: Going Out On Top; Kyle Busch Wins No. 102 at Atlanta His NASCAR Xfinity Series career began on May 24, 2003, at Charlotte Motor Speedway. His first victory was at Richmond Raceway on May 14, 2004. But was Kyle Busch’s 102nd victory in his 362nd career start the final time the 2009 Xfinity Series champion competes in NASCAR’s second-tier division? According to Busch, that very well might be the case. Unfortunately, the celebration will be more muted than other victories that came before. It showed as Busch did not bow after he took the checkered flag from the NASCAR official in Saturday’s (July 10) Credit Karma Money 250 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

DFS NASCAR Xfinity: Credit Karma Money 250

DFS NASCAR Xfinity: Credit Karma Money 250 Written by  Credit Karma Money 250 Race Preview The NASCAR Xfinity Series returns to Atlanta Motor Speedway for the second time this season. Justin Allgaier won the visit to the track in March, leading 47 laps. He started sixth that afternoon and will line up eighth this week. Kyle Busch will lead the field to green after winning  last week s visit to Road America. In fact, Busch has won all four of his series starts this season, which equates to four of the last seven races. This week s trip to Atlanta will be his fifth series start of the year, and he will line up alongside Daniel Hemric on the front row. Nine races remain in the regular season as drivers jockey to consolidate a position in the top 12 that will comprise the field for the championship playoffs. Jeremy Clements currently holds that final transfer spot with Brandon Brown on the outside looking in.

Xfinity Breakdown: Fresh Tires Boost Kyle Busch To Surprise Henry 180 Victory At Road America

Xfinity Breakdown: Fresh Tires Boost Kyle Busch to Surprise Henry 180 Victory at Road America July 3, 2021 Tires were the topic of conversation for much of Saturday’s NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Road America. Some teams planned to save enough fuel to go the entire distance of the Henry 180 on two stops to save a fresh set of tires for a late-race caution. Others wanted to pit to keep the freshest rubber underneath them at all times. In the end, AJ Allmendinger abused his front tires as he charged through the field. Under caution for the conclusion of stage two, the No. 16 Kaulig Racing team was penalized for men over the wall too soon. Allmendinger then methodically worked his way back to the front. The race restarted for the final time with six laps remaining on lap 40, and Allmendinger took the lead from Noah Gragson in turn 9. Both were on older tires compared to third-place Kyle Busch.

DFS NASCAR Xfinity: Henry 180

DFS NASCAR Xfinity: Henry 180 Written by  Henry 180 Race Preview Road America will host both the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series races this holiday weekend. Austin Cindric won last year s Xfinity stop at the circuit from the front row. This week s lineup will be set by on-track qualifying Saturday morning before the race. Ty Gibbs, Kyle Busch, and AJ Allmendinger all have won on road courses already this season. All three of those drivers will be looking to add to their series win totals this week as well. For its part, Road America has spread the wins around. In 11 series races at the track not one repeat winner has surfaced. All but one of those races were won by drivers starting inside the first six rows, too. For those reasons, fantasy players will want to pay close attention to Friday s lone practice session, while remaining flexible with their lineups to accommodate adjustments following Saturday s qualifying.
