Strange To Explain [More Strange (Deluxe Edition)] pairs the original LP with five bonus tracks, including new single “Waiting Around For A New Me.”
The bonus tracks were recorded at the same sessions at Panoramic House in Stinson Beach, California that yielded
Strange To Explain. Both “Waiting Around For A New Me” and “Nickels & Dimes” are described as singles with “Daylight Push” and “Sun Jammer” noted as outtakes and “Be There Still” an alternate take from the version found on the original 2020 LP.

But like the collectives Elephant 6 or Lambchop a decade earlier, the amorphous band around Earl treated songs like playhouses, spaces where they might try anything. Harmonies spilled out through a mess of tape hiss; guitar solos curled like question marks. This casual idiosyncrasy was charming, a timely counter to indie rockâs burgeoning professionalism.
