The National Weather Service reports that another winter storm system will begin arriving in the Midsouth around midnight, with a wintery mix of snow, sleet and freezing rain anticipated for Wednesday. More specifically, meteorologists predict that north of I-40 will get snow, while south of I-40 can expect a variety of conditions. Most of the expected ice accumulation is in north Mississippi.
Most temperatures will be in the teens tonight, and are not expected to get above freezing until Saturday. Keep pets indoors and faucets dripping.
Shelby County Schools is in session virtually. The Germantown School District is also virtual-only. The other municipal school districts in Shelby County are closed.

DESOTO COUNTY, Miss. (WMC) - Mid-South officials announced Tuesday that some businesses will remain closed due to dangerous road conditions and a possibility of more snowfall in the next few days.
All Shelby County Health Department facilities and COVID-19 vaccination sites will remain closed for the week of Feb. 15-20, 2021.
Those sites include:
Pipkin Building – 940 Early Maxwell Road, Memphis, TN 38104
Germantown Baptist Church – 9450 Poplar Avenue, Germantown, TN 38139
