Por Odalys Troya Flores Bogota, Mar 8 (Prensa Latina) The Colombian Peace Agreement seems to be adrift due to its weak implementation, forced displacements, increasing assassinations of social leaders and former FARC-EP members, the surge of armed groups, and the killing of youth. All hope is pinned on the agreement, signed on November 24, 2016 by the government of Juan Manuel Santos in representation of the State and the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia-People s Army (FARC-EP), to bring stable and lasting peace, but it seems to be going off course. According to academic Jairo Estrada, the signing of the Peace Agreement in Havana, after almost four years of talks, represented a defeat for those that pushed a military solution for armed confrontation in Colombian.
