The Herald News A 38-year-old Fall River man who violently assaulted his girlfriend on a public street last April was sentenced recenty to serve four-and-a-half to six years in state prison, Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced. Kevin Gray Jr. pleaded guilty in Fall River Superior Court to indictments charging him with Assault and Battery on a Family or Household Member-Subsequent Offense, and Assault and Battery with a Dangerous Weapon. According to a press release from the district attorney s office, on April 29, 2020 at around 1:30 pm, the defendant was walking with his girlfriend when the defendant and the victim got into a verbal argument outside of Jay s Liquor Store. Within moments, the defendant grabbed the victim and slammed her head into a brick wall. The victim lost consciousness and was found by first responders to be bleeding profusely from her head. She required 10 sutures to close the wound.

ROCKPORT With a fire glowing and snow falling outside the window of her cozy Rockport home, Dorothy (Dottie) Arseneau fell into a deep sleep on February 2, 2021 with her partner of many years, the love of her life, Jon Brewer, near her side. Her long courageous battle with cancer was finally over. Dorothy was born in Rockville, New York on February 10, 1955. She was the beloved daughter of the late Joan and Louis A. Arseneau and the beloved sister of the late Richard Arseneau and John Arseneau. Surviving siblings, living outside of Maine, are brother James Arseneau, sister Jean Roalsvig and her husband Knut, brother Edward Arseneau and his wife Linda, and brother William Arseneau and his wife Kathy. Others from afar that she considered family are Evy Brewer, Jim Brewer and his wife Dorothy and Jay Brewer. She had several nieces and nephews.
