Time to Walk audio experiences arrive on Apple Fitness+, Apple Watch

Another story arrives each week Draymond Green, Shawn Mendes among first hosts If you re an Apple Watch and Apple Fitness+ customer, you re walking experiences are about to change thanks to Time to Walk. The feature includes audio content from influential and interest people who share stories, photos, and music. It works with Apple Watch and AirPods, or other Bluetooth headphones. Time to Walk launches with four audio experiences, with many more expected to arrive in the coming weeks and months. Episodes of Time to Walk are between 25 to 40 minutes in length and appear automatically in the Workout app on Apple Watch. You can also browse the available episodes in the Fitness+ tab in the Fitness app on your iPhone. For wheelchair customers, Time to Walk becomes Time to Push and automatically starts an Outdoor Wheelchair Walk Pace workout.

It’s a pretty diverse cast, as evidenced by the first round of names, which are dropping via a software update today. Included in the first five are Dolly Parton who is probably about as universally beloved a celebrity as exists in 2021 and Warriors power forward Draymond Green, who is no doubt less universal, because, well, sports. Also included in the first round are musician Shawn Mendes and “Orange Is the New Black” star Uzo Aduba.

The new feature has been added to the firm’s Apple Fitness+ subscription-based workout service, which is linked to the Apple Watch. The first four episodes of the new experience – which feature Parton, Mendes, NBA player Draymond Green and Emmy Award-winning actress Uzo Aduba – have been released to mark its rollout, with more content to follow every Monday until the end of April.
