Big Three CENSOR Study Saying Biden s Corporate Tax Hikes Will Cost 1M Jobs in 2 Yrs

Font Size The ABC, CBS and NBC evening news networks ignored yet another major economic report slapping down President Joe Biden’s ridiculous corporate tax hike plan as disastrous.  The National Association of Manufacturers (NAM) released a new damning economic study Thursday ripping apart another Big Lie in Biden’s agenda. The study projected that a corporate tax hike from 21 percent to 28 percent in addition to other items like increasing the top individual tax rate and reinstating the corporate alternative minimum tax “would result in less economic activity and 1 million jobs lost in the first two years.” But that’s not all. “The average annual reduction in employment would be equivalent to a loss of 600,000 jobs each year over 10 years,” the study’s summary reported. So much for Biden’s recent assertion that “[t]here’s no evidence” his corporate tax hike would hurt the economy.

NAM, in a study conducted by Rice University economists, calculated the impact of increasing the corporate tax rate to 28 percent, increasing the top marginal tax rate, repealing the 20 percent pass-through deduction, and eliminating certain expensing provisions. Biden’s proposed $2.25 trillion infrastructure package would increase the corporate tax rate to 28 percent and establish a minimum global tax. The 2017 GOP tax law lowered the corporate tax rate from 35 percent to 21 percent.

Study: Biden Tax Hikes Will Cost 1 Million Jobs in First Two Years

Study: Biden Tax Hikes Will Cost 1 Million Jobs in First Two Years 8 Apr 2021 President Biden’s tax hike plan would cost the American economy one million lost jobs in the first two years, according to a study from the National Association of Manufacturers. The study, released Thursday, details the long and short-term damage to the economy inflicted by Biden’s tax hikes and repeals of Trump’s pro-manufacturing policies. NAM President and CEO Jay Timmons summarized the studies findings: “After decades of advocating for a tax system that provided competitive rates and modern international tax provisions, manufacturers in America kept our promises following the enactment of the 2017 tax reforms: we raised wages and benefits, we hired more American workers, and we invested in our communities. If we undo those reforms, all of that will be put at significant risk. Manufacturing workers will lose out on jobs, growth and raises. We should be building on that progress, not rolling
