Jay Edwards, R-Nelsonville, voted to jeopardize the lives of firefighters, paramedics, and the citizens we serve in cities of all sizes across the state of Ohio.  True to form for one of the most corrupt legislative bodies in American history, the Ohio House of Representatives voted to shut down the very municipalities they are now trying to retroactively defund. Separately, as Ohio House Bill 157 moves to the Ohio Senate, the Buckeye Institute filed an appeal in one of the organization s multiple challenges about the constitutionality of Ohio House Bill 197, which was passed codifying the right of those cities to tax the income of employees not working within the municipal limits during the pandemic.
