First Origin try: Darius Boyd
The 21-year-old may have not had much success in the NRL with Brisbane this season as the former glamour club tries to avoid another wooden spoon but Kaufusi reckons he has seen enough in camp to know Flegler could step up and make a difference on Wednesday night.
The Melbourne forward said Flegler s enthusiasm had been contagious in camp, providing a welcome shot in the arm for the Queensland pack. For sure. All these young guys who come in bring a lot of energy and he s definitely one of them, he said. He has been enjoying his time [in camp], taking all our money playing poker.
How many people will be in each team’s bubble and will they be forced to isolate?
Each team’s bubble will include a combined 41 players and staff (30 players and 11 staff). They will only be allowed to leave the bubble for training and matches within the first 14 days of arriving in Queensland. Beyond that point they will follow public health orders.
Will families be allowed to travel with teams?
The NRL has agreed to pay for the families of players to travel with the teams. They will stay at the same hotels as the players.
With 12 teams including Jai Arrow and Adam Reynolds’ South Sydney heading for the border, the likelihood of the grand final being held at Suncorp Stadium continues to grow.
Maroons ‘staunch’ on no other players in COVID breach
Queensland Maroons coach Paul Green addresses his position on the Jai Arrow COVID-19 Breach and whether other players were involved 15 hours ago
Dragons players Zac Lomax and Daniel Alvaro may be sidelined for up to a month while the Queensland government has foreshadowed police monitoring of team quarantine facilities when 12 NRL clubs arrive in the Sunshine State.
Lomax and Alvaro remain outside St George Illawarra s COVID-19 bubble as 10 of their teammates returned to training on Monday, having signed sworn statements regarding the events of the recent illegal gathering at Paul Vaughan s house at Shellharbour.
Lomax and Alvaro have declined to sign their individual documents on legal advice, and unless they do must remain in a COVID-19 hold that will prevent them from travelling with St George Illawarra s 41-member bubble to Queensland on Wednesday.

The players who are headed to the NRL s Queensland bubble for at least a month are only human beings. You ve got to remember that.
To be stuck in a bubble with nothing but men around you, if you re a single bloke . there s going to be urges at times and it s going to be extremely hard for certain blokes to be alone for up to two months as the competition ends.
