YOUNGSTOWN Patricia Parish, 87, died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021, at Omni Manor Health Care.
She was born June 28, 1933, in Pittsburgh, Pa., a daughter of Elizabeth Dosch Cox and Herbert Cox.
She moved to Youngstown and attended North High School, where she was a cheerleader. She then married the love of her life, Anthony Parish, on May 8, 1950. They celebrated 70 years of marriage this past May.
Patricia was a member of St. Anthony Parish, where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a spectacular cook and baker. Visitors were guaranteed to be asked at least three times, “Are you sure you don’t want something to eat?” Her talents consisted of sewing, crafts and making flower arrangements. She enjoyed dancing with her husband, and, at times, the dance floor would clear to watch them. Jane Susanne Rasch went to be with our Lord December 27, joining her husband Kenneth Rasch to share their spirit and joy in heaven.
In her 95 years, Fort Dodge has enjoyed Jane’s everlasting positive attitude towards all life while sharing God’s blessings. Her outreach through Sacred Heart church brought much happiness to the community.
Growing up in the family of railroad engineer Joseph Devlin, she graduated from Sacred Heart high school. She was employed at Tobin Packing Company in Fort Dodge and later met Kenneth at a ballroom dancing school.
Sixty-nine years ago they began their marriage with a belief in a big family. “Cheaper by the dozen” they spoke of, but later said forget the cheaper part and focus on the rewards of a loving family. Many family travels in Henrietta (the family bus camper) were enjoyed including executive retreats for the Land Improvement Contractors of America.
Carol Ann Tropple, of Antigo, died Tuesday, Dec. 29, 2020, at home. She was 76 years old. She was born on July 2, 1944, in Antigo, a daughter of Frank and Elvy (Aird) Tropple.
She was a graduate of White Lake High School in 1962 and continued her education at Marathon Center in Wausau.
She served in the United States Army as a medic nurse from Feb. 1, 1966, to Jan. 12, 1969, having been stationed in Europe.
Following military service Ms. Tropple attended the University of Wisconsin-Madison where she received a bachelor of science degree in nursing in 1973.
She worked as a registered nurse at Lakeshore Manor in Madison for four years. She moved to Antigo in 1977 where she worked for the Langlade County Health Department as a registered nurse for 33 years, retiring in 2010.
Brasher Iron Works – Rose M. Stowell, 90, passed away Friday, December 4, 2020 at the Highland Nursing Home in Massena with her family at her bedside. Rose was born on June 5, 1930 in Brasher Falls, daughter of the late Angus and Mildred (Mitchell) Anderson. She married George H. Stowell on October 8, 1948 at St. Patrick Church in Hogansburg with Mons. Funkie celebrating the Mass. Sharing a joy for life, they were partners in love and enjoyed socializing with friends. They shared a blessed union of 64 years prior to his passing on July 4, 2013. She tended to the gardens around her home, flower, and vegetable, with much pride. She was a hard worker, as a housekeeper for Dr. Carson in Helena and as an aide at the Highland Nursing Home. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed time spent snowmobiling and playing cards.
