Jennings deputies arrest North Vernon man accused of seriously injuring 2-month-old

JENNINGS COUNTY Jennings County Sheriff deputies arrested a North Vernon man accused of battery against a 2-month-old female who suffered serious injuries.
Chief Deputy Dave Turner said investigators arrested Buddy Wayne Woods, 22, North Vernon, on Monday on charges of battery of a juvenile under the age of 14 resulting in serious bodily injury, neglect of a dependent, possession of marijuana and possession of paraphernalia.
The investigation started on Dec. 10 after Child Protective Services contacted investigators with the Jennings County Sheriff’s Office stating that a 2-month old female had been taken to an area hospital with serious injuries. During the course of four days, investigators interviewed potential witnesses and collected evidence which eventually led to Wood’s arrest, Turner said.

NORTH VERNON, Ind. – The Jennings County Sheriff’s Office announced Friday afternoon that escaped felon David Bowe, 53, of North Vernon, was found and arrested at a Country Squire Lakes residence.
The suspect had fled from police custody in the area of Willow Way in Country Squire Lakes last week.
The fugitive was originally arrested on felony drug charges and is now facing additional charges of escape and theft. MADISON, Ind. – A Jennings County man, wanted for theft and auto theft, was taken into custody Tuesday evening.
The arrest procedure began when a Jennings County Sheriff’s Office detective spotted Jeremiah Adam Littrell, 39, in Dupont, at around 7 p.m. The detective notified the Indiana State Police, Madison Police, and the Jefferson County Sheriff s Office. Littrell was followed to a location in Madison where he was eventually stopped.
During the apprehension, drugs and paraphernalia were allegedly located on the suspect. In addition to the thefts, Littrell is now facing additional charges in Jefferson County and is incarcerated in the Jefferson County Jail.
