The Stockbridge Library, Museum & Archives is exhibiting Exploring Abstraction, paintings by artist Terry Wise, through Saturday, Jan. 30, in the lobby gallery.
The paintings are primarily oil on paper and were executed as an exercise while taking an online course from Hudson Valley abstract painter Jenny Nelson during the past summer of pandemic isolation.
Patrons and guests are invited to view the exhibit anytime during open library hours.

COVID Vaccine:
The State of Connecticut has officially announced that COVID-19 vaccine registration can begin today, Monday, January 18 for those in Category 1b. The State has also expanded the eligibility criteria for the 1b category, although those in the expanded category will not be able to register on Monday.
Many Westporters have already begun registering themselves into the Department of Public Health’s Vaccine Administration Management System (VAMS). Some have done so easily and await the ability to schedule their appointment. Others struggle with the technology and the registration requirements. Westport Country Playhouse, in Partnership with WSHU Public Radio, Presents A Merry Little Christmas Carol
Westport Country Playhouse, in partnership with WSHU Public Radio, will present a free-of-charge audio play, A Merry Little Christmas Carol, on Saturday, December 19, at noon, followed by a rebroadcast on Saturday, December 26, at 8 p.m. WSHU frequencies and locations are listed at wshu.org in the About Us drop-down menu.
UPDATE: The encore broadcast will be on Sunday, December 27, at 8 p.m. on WSHU (not Sat., Dec. 26 as originally stated). A Merry Little Christmas Carol is written and directed by Mark Shanahan, adapted from his play of the same name, and based on A Christmas Carol by Charles Dickens. The holiday show runs approximately two hours and is appropriate for ages 6 and up.
