Charges Laid in Connection to Attempted Murder

By Ryan Young Three people have been charged following an attempted murder. On October 4th, the victim met three individuals outside of a Regina nightclub and left in a vehicle with them. The suspects proceeded to beat, torture and rob the victim before leaving them unconscious in a field, north of Fort Qu’Appelle with serious injuries. 22-year-old Sheridan Squirrel, 25-year-old Jenna Hoffman of Wadena, and 24-year-old Austin Severight of the Yellowquill First Nation were charged with Attempted Murder, Kidnapping, Robbery and Choking to Overcome Resistance. Squirrel pled guilty to Aggravated Assault, Robbery and Forcible Confinement and was sentenced to five-and-a-half years in jail, while Hoffman’s next court appearance is on June 17th, and Severight was due to Regina court today (Tues).
