(Photo by Jenna Pierson) VIENNA The Vienna Utility Board met Friday to discuss newly passed legislation that impacts the water and sewer departments and potential options for the future use of American Rescue Act money. Board member and Vienna Mayor Randall Rapp discussed three new bills that are set to impact the utility board. West Virginia House Bill 2370 makes it mandatory public service districts allow anyone with a swimming pool to be given monetary credit for sewer services.

PARKERSBURG Hundreds upon hundreds of vibrant green olives climb an industrial belt and then tumble into a whirring giant vat, where they are pressed to produce a beautiful liquid known as 100 percent virgin olive oil. Chams Eckelman and Rizkallah Helou, the brother and sister co-owners of Cham’s Lebanese Cuisine on Market Street in Parkersburg, swell with pride as they show a video of how the process to make imported olive oil from their hometown of Sarba, Lebanon, begins.
