Political parties need to give Australians real options at the ballot box instead of more of the “stale same,” according to Sky News contributor Jenna Clarke.
“There are beacons of diversity and fresh ideas waiting in the wings of Parliament House and beyond right now,” she said.
“But given the COVID climate and the crazy machinations of Canberra they are unable to get any clean air in party room or caucus meetings.
“Even the media as the exploits of agitators usually make headlines which do nothing but fatigue the vast majority of Australians that are too busy trying to make ends meet than to pay much attention to the goings on in Canberra.”
As things like pre-selections loom and talks of campaign strategies become louder, political parties need to be brave, different, and “think outside the square when” it comes to candidates and policy, according to Ms Clarke.
“Give us real options at the ballot box instead of more of the stale same,” she said.

Mark McGowan was all about, we re going to keep you safe, we re going to keep you strong, that s why we shut the borders and that s how we re going to keep you under that doona, and we ve kept COVID out of our state, she said. Now nine months since the prime minister was talking about how we can t keep shutting down every time there s one or two cases of COVID in the community. he seems to have adopted that rhetoric.
