Meat and Livestock Australia appoints Accela PR to its public relations in Singapore March 12, 2021 1:25 Singapore-based agency, Accela PR, has been appointed to the public relations account for Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) in Singapore. MLA works with exporters to get Australian beef, lamb and goat into overseas markets and works with supermarkets, hotels, and restaurants through the global brand of True Aussie Beef and Lamb. Accela PR will be working with the True Aussie brand to support MLA in building awareness of the core attributes of the Australian red meat industry and drive preference for Australian red meat. The agency will also support MLA’s campaigns in the Singapore region by driving activations, and amplifying its brand message. Accela PR will also work on MLA’s Beef Up and Lambassador campaigns.

A motion to encourage key workers to be vaccinated has been approved by Aberdeen City Council – despite criticisms. Councillor Jennifer Stewart brought forward a motion to the meeting of full council on Wednesday that asked the council to agree to call on the Scottish Government and First Minister Nicola Sturgeon to prioritise vaccinations for all Police Scotland officers, Scottish Fire and Rescue firefighters and teachers alongside other front-line workers as a matter of urgency. It also noted with agreement the UK Government’s pledge to ensure all adults are vaccinated by July.

Aberdeen City Council s climate change plan approved

Aberdeen City Council’s plans to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2045 at the latest has been approved unanimously. In the council budget set in 2020, £100m was committed to helping the council tackle climate change. Some of the projects being proposed to assist with helping the council achieve this goal are carrying out a hydrogen for heat feasibility study, retrofit pilot for 100 council homes, upgrading the lighting at Marischal College, conversion to dual fuel refuse collection vehicles, creating a council carbon budget, 100% of street lighting turned to LED and expand district heating connections.
