Jennifer Nelson, graduate research assistant in sustainable agriculture at Iowa State University, told us about the
STRIPS (“Science-based Trials of Rowcrops Integrated with Prairie Strips” which is an experimental program conducted through ISU Extension to work with farmers to determine the results of retaining and enriching soil in fields with strategically placed strips of prairie plants intermixed with corn and soybeans.

Residents of Cape Coral have taken their complaints to city council, the mayor and social media about their trash collection, more accurately the lack thereof.
At Cape Coral City Council s last meeting during citizens input, a resident shared that his trash went two weeks without being picked up and asked that the council do something to fix the problem.
He explained he pays his trash bill without a problem and believes the trash collection company should do their job.
Council will be having a special meeting at 2 p.m. Wednesday to address an update on the Waste Pro issue.
Councilwoman Jennifer Nelson stated the company, Waste Pro, is having infrastructure issues as Cape Coral grows.
