Rebekah Jones is telling her side of the story.
Jones, the fired Florida COVID-19 data scientist, made headlines earlier this week after she tweeted a viral video of police raiding her home. State police on Monday executed a search warrant at
her house in Tallahassee. Jones said she lost her job at the Florida Department of Health for refusing to “manipulate” COVID-19 data. She was fired in May.
She has accused Gov. Ron DeSantis, who said she was fired for being insubordinate, of misleading the public on the pandemic.
On Monday, the Florida Department of Law Enforcement seized computer equipment from Jones’ home as part of an investigation into a complaint from the DOH regarding unauthorized access to an emergency messaging system.
